About Reiki

Angela is a certified Reiki Master in the Mikao Usui lineage. Although she periodically offers courses for Levels 1, 2, and Master, she is currently focusing her efforts on the Psychic, Intuitive, and Mediumship aspects of her practice.

​Reiki is a spiritual practice developed in 1922 by the Japanese Buddhist, Mikao Usui. His teaching has continued and been adapted by various practitioners ever since. Using a technique often referred to as hand healing — which differs from what is commonly known as the laying-on-of-hands — it is a form of complementary alternative medicine, and has been classified as oriental medicine by some professional bodies. There is no manipulation of the skin or tissue. Reiki is not massage. Through this technique, practitioners transfer universal energy (reiki) in the form of qi through their palms and into their subject, promoting self-healing and leading to a state of equilibrium.

Reiki is practiced in a peaceful and loving manner and will do no harm to the client.

The benefits of Reiki have not been limited to people. Many pets have been brought to Reiki pratitioners and, as this video from the Earthfire Institute shows, the results are quite beautiful and compelling.
